FROM P1.7 BILLION TO P400 MILLION, the infrastructure projects for Iloilo City were drastically reduced in the approved 2021 budget.
Engr. Rodney Gustilo of the Iloilo City District Engineering Office (ICDEO) told HilwayNews today that projects included in the National Expenditure Program (NEP) amounted to only P400M, from the P1.7B total submitted list.
“Although we have yet to see the actual list of projects included in the 2021 General Appropriations Act (GAA) for the city district,” Engr. Gustilo said.
He added that Rep. Julienne Baronda also “made some moves questioning why, even as we proposed P1.7B, only P400M were included in the budget.”
Meanwhile, the ICDEO has proceeded to bid out only those projects already listed in the NEP amounting to P400M, explained District Engr. Rodney Gustilo.
