The proposed ‘Philippine Building Act of 2020’ passed the House Committee level yesterday, Nov. 19, 2020.
Rep. Michael Gorriceta (2nd district Iloilo), vice chair of the House public works committee quoted from the House press office statement, thus:
“The bill seeks to regulate the planning, design, construction, occupancy, maintenance, and demolition of buildings.
“The committee members rigorously fine-tuned the provisions of the measure that would promote building resilience against earthquake, fire, flood, landslide, storm, volcano, and multiple hazards.”
